when a project hits a wall

I had the chance to comment on what I do in the face of adversity, particularly when a project hits a wall.

Step back. Have a coffee or glass of water or walk.

Then, push forward. Doing nothing will only get nothing done.
Get a big piece of paper, title it with the goal and end date.
Write out what has been accomplished – even in simple single words like “shit got jacked” – there is knowledge and opportunity in failure.
Next, what is salvageable and who needs to be informed/accountable/recharged.
What are the steps to get back on track?
Finally: Take the first step back toward the goal.
